If there is one thing that is true about this universe, one thing that always happens, that cannot ever be avoided, it is that cats will always - always - choose to sit on literally anything other than cat beds. The more expensive the cat bed, the more adverse they seem to be to sitting on it. It's principle. They want to teach us something. They want to show us their power in some way. Except we don't understand the lesson, and we continue refusing to learn said lesson, so we keep buying them these beds, and they keep lying instead on fresh piles of laundry, random shirts that fall on the floor, and in the boxes that the beds come in.

Oh, you don't understand. Chris Pratt's surprised face in this photo does not do this situation justice. Finding a cat like this is like winning the lottery. It always takes time for a cat to get used to its new environment. Usually, it's days, sometimes weeks, if not years. For a cat to react like this… it was fate for you and the cat to get to one another, and the cat knows it.
